Your Contact Lens Experience
Contact lenses are a medical device and need to be fitted and checked by an eye care professional. We provide a training and fitting session for all first-time wearers on properly inserting, removing, and caring for your lenses.
Contact lenses can correct all sorts of vision problems, such as those caused by farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. We’ll help you find the right type for your needs.
Comprehensive Contact Lens Exams & Fittings
What to Expect During Your Exam & Fitting
We understand that one-size-fits-all solutions don’t work for eyes. That’s why our contact lens fittings are personalized to your unique needs and preferences.
After booking your appointment with us, one of our associates will ask that you bring certain items with you if this is your first appointment. There will also be some registration information to fill out when you arrive before your appointment begins.
Whether you’re a seasoned contact lens wearer or a curious first-timer, our experienced team is here to guide you every step of the way.
The appointment begins with a meeting with one of our optometric technicians, who will take some preliminary measurements of your eyes, including your visual acuity (how well you see at a distance and near) and corneal curvature (the shape of your cornea).
This appointment may involve the following assessments:
- Examination: We’ll perform a comprehensive eye exam, which may include a dilated eye exam to get a better view of your eye’s interior.
- Contact lens discussion: Based on the exam results and your preferences, we will recommend specific contact lenses. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of different materials (soft vs. rigid gas-permeable) and wear schedules (daily vs. extended wear).
- Trial lenses: Our doctors may fit you with trial lenses to see how they feel and assess your vision with them.
After your preliminary assessments have been completed, you will meet with one of our optometrists, who will discuss the findings with you, answer any questions you may have and perform further tests if necessary. Following this, your optometrist will make recommendations regarding the health of your eyes and your contact lens options.
The perfect time to get your new contact lenses is right after your eye exam. At Vivid Eye Care, we take pride in offering a wide range of options for contact lenses and other eye care needs.
Following your optometrist’s recommendations and prescription, our friendly and professional eye care consultants can help you find contact lenses that fit your eyes, lifestyle, and budget.
