Dr. Rizan Jinnah was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, where he earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary in 2022. He then moved to Boston to pursue his Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry. During his clinical training, he completed externships in a variety of specialties, including pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, low vision rehabilitation, and ocular disease, gaining experience throughout the Massachusetts healthcare system.
Dr. Jinnah has a particular interest in specialty contact lenses and ocular disease. Throughout his training, he had the opportunity to care for patients from diverse backgrounds, including underserved and vulnerable communities. These experiences strengthened his commitment to providing patient-centered eye care and helping improve access to vision care for those who need it most.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys being outdoors, running and drinking perhaps a little too much coffee. Whether he’s helping patients see their best or searching for Calgary’s next great coffee shop, Dr. Jinnah enjoys connecting with people and is excited to be part of the community.
